John and Allison were married at Honky Tonk’s Secret Garden in Pilsen and I was the lucky dude that photographed it. We started out at their place, where they had their first looks of each other and then we paraded on down to the Garden where the guests were already waiting to witness this union. It was great! They kissed under an explosion of confetti, dined and danced into a sweaty frenzy. This was such a cool and unique wedding and I’m honored to have been a part. Way to go John and Allison! Thanks for having me!

John and Kristine are an awesome couple who were married at Salvage One this spring. I was the lucky guy that got to photograph their wedding day. Thanks so much, John and Kristine. You rule!
This past weekend marked the 3rd annual Krampusnact celebration in Chicago. The party started with a costumed procession from Maria’s Packaged Goods to The Co-Prosperity Sphere, a couple blocks away. The place was packed with Krampus related art, games and costumed monsters artists like EC Brown, Stephanie Burke, Justine Harlan, Angela Lopez, Celeste Neuhaus, Kevin Jennings, Frank Pollard and Catie Olson, a photo booth by Rebecca Hinsdale. There was plenty of glogg, beer and sausages for everybody’s face. The partying and dancing went on until late into the night and I can’t wait to do it again next year! Pat and Liz were married this summer and I was thrilled to photographer their huge day! Our day started at The Acme Hotel in Downtown Chicago where the couple got ready for their first looks of each other; walking down the church aisle. We headed down to Assumption Church and after a traditional Catholic Ceremony, Pat and Liz were married. We all hoped aboard a trolly and cruised on over to one of my favorite venues, Salvage One. The guests arrived and slurped down some good lookin’ signature cocktails. The dining room was beautifully decorated and ready for guests to chow down on some delicious grub from Food Evolution. Check out that cake that Liz’s grandmother lovingly baked!
After dinner, everybody was ready party and dance to some killer tunes that Toast and Jam Provided. After a while, we all took a little breather and stepped outside to play with some sparklers. Congrats Pat and Liz! Thanks for letting me be a part of it!
Art and Liz had a pretty sweet little wedding at Prairie Productions. First I met with Art at a nearby hotel as he finished getting all groomed up. Then I sprinted over to the venue as Liz was having her final touches of makeup applied. As the guests arrived, Liz hid out of sight. Art made his way to the front of the congregation and waited for his first glimpse of Liz. Our couple exchanged vows and sealed it with a kiss. Now it was time to wine dine and Party! Everybody twisted the night away as Emily, from Toast and Jam, kicked out the tunes. It was such a lovely wedding great group to photograph. Congrats Art and Liz!

I get to shoot Billy and Maddie’s wedding later this year and I know it’s gonna be a wild one! We met up an “engagement” session at a place that is near and dear to their hearts…..the local supermarket. I was thrilled by the challenge of photographing them in such an unromantic place. They sure made it easy. We took some pics, and exchanged some recipes as they loaded their cart. After checkout, we headed over to one of their favorite watering holes; The Whistler. We took a few photos in the bar and then wandered out to the patio with fancy cocktails in hand. It was a lot of fun hanging and shooting these two and I’m really looking forward to the wedding.

Pat and Liz will be getting hitched in a few months and they asked me to photograph the festivities. At first, they weren’t to crazy about doing an engagement shoot so we decided to keep it real informal. Perfect! We met up for a pretty loose shoot at the historic Old Town Ale House, right across the street from Second City, where Pat does improv. The nicotine stained portraits of the bar’s past customers watched over us as we chatted and took pictures between sips of our drinks. It was a fun hang and I’m pretty psyched about shooting their wedding in 2015!

Alex and Courtney got married this Fall and it was so much fun to photograph their wild and colorful day. We started out at Hotel Allegro where Courtney and the bridesmaids were mixing mimosas and getting done up. I jogged down the hall where the dudes were having a TV party and priming up for the big day that was ahead. Our lovely couple caught their first glimpses of each other outside of the hotel and in front of the Cadillac Theater and then we jumped on a trolly and headed to the lakefront to catch a breeze and an eyeful of that endless Chicago Skyline. Away we went to Carvivale, where the ceremony and the rest of the evening’s festivities were about to begin. After smiles, tears, cheers and a surprise Hall and Oates sing-a-long, the marriage was official. Now it was time for everybody to wine, dine and dance. Ruby, from Toast and Jam, provided the soundtrack to a nonstop dance party that worked the crowd in to a wilder and wilder frenzy as the night moved on. I barely made it out in one piece! Alex and Courtney’s wedding ruled! I’m so glad to have been a part of it.
Frank and Kevin’s wedding was off the hook! I met up with them at their place, where they were helping each other tie ties and clip on cuff links. Then, we strolled a few blocks to Grace Episcopal, where the ceremony was about to get underway. After some heart melting words and a few cheerful serenades, our handsome couple were married. With tears of cheer and ear-to-ear smiles, we made our way to the church’s lower level to eat, drink and party! The cozy vibe of Frank and Kevin’s celebration shined like the television snack trays that they buffed, brought and dined from in lieu of a head table. After the guests chomped through a mountain of Southern style comfort food, it was time to hit the dance floor. The whole room shook, shouted, shimmied the rest of the night away. It was an honer to shoot such a fun and cheerful day!
