Toast & Jam threw their annual farewell to the wedding season bash where all of our favorite vendors have their chance cut loose and party down like no one is watching…..but I was there taking photos. Here’s some photographic evidence that Toast and Jam DJ’s can rip it up!

KIM AND LUKE

I recently photographed Kim and Luke’s 2 day wedding extravaganza. The first day began a bit more intimately with lunch, tea, a few Indian ceremonies and some playground action.  Day 2 was a bit soggy but that didn’t stop us from getting some beautiful shots around town at their favorite spots! We managed to squeeze in a few karaoke numbers at Louie’s in Wicker park before hitting the reception at the Westin Lombard. Sarah from Toast & Jam kept the dance floor alive and kickin’ all night. Both days were filled with swirling colors and smiling faces. I had a blast photographing this vibrant couple and being a part of their celebration!

Leigh and Ben were married at The Catalyst Ranch in Haymarket Square last month.  After a short and intimate ceremony, the place was transformed into a bumpin’ karaoke jam.

Mark and Alison were married at The Red Barn Experience in LaPorte Indiana and I pulled a photographer/groomsman double duty. Selena Abbott photographed the ceremony while I held down my groomsman post up front.

PARTY IN A RED BARN

My dear friends, Mark and Alison, asked me to shoot their wedding….and hold down a groomsman position.  Not knowing how this would be possible, I said “hell yeah!” and ordered a remote  control thingy so I can include myself in a few photos.  The wedding is taking place  at and around a barn in Indiana, their will be fireworks involved and my beloved friends can party in ways that most folks just don’t know how to.  I would be heartbroken if I couldn’t run around this wedding with a camera!

Alison James (soon to be Mckenzie) designed and screen printed the invitation pictured below.  They’re among the coolest wedding invitations that I’ve ever seen and if you’re lucky, she might provide a service for the general public one day.

….is  what they call the bulbous green fellas.  I learned this and more funny flower names on a recent visit  to Pollen Floral Designs, in Ravenswood, where Lynn Fosbender arranges some seriously interesting and unique floral goods.
